It was a wonderful experience working with Val. She was kind and compassionate but also didn’t back down from asking tough questions to get me to a place of more clarity and self-awareness.

I realized that although I have not yet achieved the original goals that I set up, I achieved some even greater goals that I did not even realize were so needed in my life. I now see more clearly the need to put myself back on my priority list so that I can better take care of others in my life.

I really appreciated Val’s encouragement and support throughout the whole process. It was a great time of gaining new insights and refreshing my mind of things I knew previously but had not been living out.

I signed up for coaching with Valerie and what I got was so valuable. Valerie has an incredible gift for asking precise questions to pinpoint the root behind why you’re not managing your time efficiently.  She keeps you focused without going down rabbit holes to address those specific roots and gave practical applications to resolve the problems. She is really good at holding you accountable to what you said you were going to do.. I felt as though every minute with her was highly efficient. I HIGHLY recommend working with Valerie. She has a natural gift of coaching.  I wish I could coach with her every single day.

I am thrilled with everything that you helped me institute. I appreciate that you were so patient with my neuro-diversity. ADHD has created a monster when it comes to managing my time, and you were able to temper that with things like “time boxes” and “hard stops!” I LOVE that you had me create workable routines. I have been using them, and my days just feel better! I am able to have a life and get more done!

Thank you for that!

I will absolutely recommend you to others.

Having known Valerie for several years, I’ve always been amazed at her motivation and ability to overcome obstacles to accomplish difficult things in her own life. Her desire to become a life coach to empower others to reach their own goals is an extension of her natural ability in this area.

I completed my time with Valerie feeling encouraged, motivated and prepared with clear steps in mind to help me accomplish my goal.

With kindness and understanding, Valerie will very intentionally help you bring your goal to the forefront of your thinking, and she will help you work through your circumstances to determine a plan that will work for you. You’ll leave feeling empowered to follow through!

Thank you Valerie for being an amazing coach for me the past 3 months!

Your ability to coach me with my “ADHD” tendency was just what I needed!  I have accomplished so much in those months and am still using the skills you taught me.

I’m on a roll and am so very GRATEFUL to have had you to help me stay focused and productive!!

Forever Grateful!

FAQ

What is your background/training?

I graduated from the Health Coach Institute in 2021

I have been a physical therapist for many years graduating in 1988 (yes, that long ago)!

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching allows you to focus on your present and look towards your future. Coaching provides the tools to move forward.

Therapy often has you looking back to your past to facilitate healing.

There is definitely a place for both and at times they can happen concurrently.

What if I don’t end up liking the program?

A prorated refund will be issued.

Why is coaching so expensive?

The term expensive is relative.

You may have gone to college/university – I suspect the tuition was not cheap – yet it is viewed as an investment relative to what you will gain.

It’s the same for coaching – it can be viewed as an investment for what you will gain. What you will gain is determined by what you desire to achieve.

How can coaching help me as a mom of a child with special needs?

Some of the benefits of coaching are gaining clarity, setting and achieving goals, reducing stress, and improving overall well-being.

Is coaching suitable for me if I have limited time due to caregiving responsibilities?

Coaching can be tailored to accommodate busy schedules and address the unique needs and challenges of you as a special needs moms.

Do you have experience working with moms of children with various special needs?

I certainly do! I have coached moms of kids on the spectrum, with ADHD and with complex needs.

I am also a mom to two special needs kids with different need and functional ability.

How do you tailor your coaching to each mom's unique situation and goals?

I use a client-centered approach combined with a goal-oriented approach to empower moms to take control of their lives. I have a strong emphasis on self-care and adapt my coaching to meet individual needs and aspirations.
